Our staff at Sanford Electric is excited to present our new re-designed website for 2016. Our new site is now mobile-friendly and responsive for computer views, tablet and smartphones.

Along with our site re-design, we have also added a valuable coupon for savings on the home page of our website. This savings is available year-round. Re-designing the website should be on everyone’s short list for improvement at least every two to three years.  Browse our new site to learn more about our products and services.

E-commerce shoppingE-commerce ordering online:

There has been a noticeable increase in the demand for e-commerce and online ordering in the past year. This is encouraging many site owners to upgrade sites to e-commerce platforms to capture this online business. Hiring a graphic artist to come up with a new logo design is also a way to spruce up the company identity and attract new visitors. Many new bells and whistles are available this year. However, the most important upgrade for site owners is to make sure their websites are responsive and mobile-friendly for end users. Some electrical contractors don’t feel the need to engage in e-commerce. This must be determined on a case to case basis.  However, UPS 2015 Industrial Buying Dynamics conducted a study which cited the following:

  • 30% of wholesale customers buy online
  • 40% choose to get product info online
  • 70% do want to do business online

Customer Service appealCustomer service and person-to-person contact:

Even with a great online presence, most of our contacts are still person to person. A company’s customer service persona is still a crucial element to success.  Customer service programs to develop better telephone presence and methods to manage customer issues should remain a priority. Embracing customer service expectations and new business requirements include becoming familiar with the new technology available online.
